unforgettable/favourite moments in philippines.

- The time when we (Tito Nonong,ma,lola, janan, harjane, harjan, amiel, melasel, joy, raj and myself) got stranded in the highway waiting for another uncle. Spent most of the time taking pictures. This was also the time when i "saw" Amiel and Harjan peeing at the side of the roads. Of course their backs were facing us. Its culture there for guys to relieve themselves anywhere they want. But it was awkward when i knew/"saw" my two cousins doing it.
And this one cannot be forgotten because all of us, together with our loads of bags were squeezing (Amiel and Harjan had to sit on the roof/hang on to the tricycle) on Tito's tricycle. We were so heavy that Tito had to stand most of the time just to speed up. How can i not forget the part where we were going up the hill - incredibly sloooowwwww, that the man walking downwards looked at us and laughed.

-Swimming and karaoke at the beach.

-The starfishes! Banate is a beach area, and from Lola's house we can walk to the beach. The younger cousins were swimming, found the starfishes and brought it out to us (they wanted to keep it as pets). They were huge and beautiful. And i got to see it kinda drying up,but since we're not sadists, me and jane put it back into the water.

-Got to talk to an old friend of mine, tho' the conversations were short and few, i still got to talk to him.

-Medical missions at Salem Sanctuary in Dumangas!Got the chance to help out, there were already 3 nurses checking the blood pressure etc of the villagers, so i helped in giving out the medicines based on the prescriptions written by the doctors. Sat down beside the pharmacist (he came to Singapore last year, Dad introduced us, but can't remember his name) and chatted with him inbetween giving the medicines. Free services were general checkups done by two lady doctors ("doctora") and dental Services done by a dentist and dental nurses. All the medicines are free too. Given out just like that.
=)

-Watching movies with the family. Mum brought our old DVD player there, and Tito Tinki kept borrowing DVDs for us. Every evening/night we'd have this extended family movie-time. Sometimes even the neighbours come and watch too.

-Slacking with the cousins. Jane would take out the guitar, play it and we'll all just sing.

-Evenings at the fair in Banate. They only had 4 rides, the rest were gambling stations. The best ride was the Octopus - you get into carraiges, sit in pairs, you spin and spin and spin incredibly fast. So the machine is spinning all the carriages in one direction with the individual carriages spinning too, and it gets faster and faster. At certain moments i felt like my head was going to fly off from my neck.
How can i forget the way Jane screamed, her's was the only voice you can hear, through out the whole ride till they actually stopped the ride halfway to see if she was okay and if she wanted to get down. =) During the ride i glanced at Raj and Harjan who was at the next carriage, and Jan looked really uncomfortable but in a cute/funny way. I like the way my aunt put it "His face couldn't be drawn". And how my spunky cousin Amiel, whom, according to Raj, was smsing during the whole ride.
Another favourite ride among us older ones was the ghost train - had good laughs instead of terrified screams.

-Ahhh.. bike lessons!

-Watching Jenjen in amusement as she snaps photos away with my phone (she made me her model, holding teacups/vitamins etc)

-It was cute the way the younger ones tried to communicate to us in english.

-Carrying my baby cousin (the cute one with the big eyes)
